The Riverside Swim Centre opened on December 16, 1967 as the Rowallan Park Swimming Pool. The Centre is owned and operated by the West Tamar Council for the benefit of the municipal area.
The pool is located in Eden St, Riverside next to the Council Office, with plenty of free parking available.
The Riverside Swim Centre is a clean, safe and friendly water environment for lap swimming, playing or relaxing in the sun.
Children under 11 must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian over 16 years of age.
The West Tamar Future Aquatic Facility Strategy was adopted at the October 2021 Council Meeting, to guide future upgrades to this facility. You can download a copy of the strategy from the Community Plans section of our website. Hard copies are available on request.
2024/25 Operating Hours
The pool opens on Monday, October 14, 2024 and will close on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 6:30 pm
Saturday – Sunday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Public Holidays 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Closed: 25th and 26th December, and 1st January annually.

Kiosk with a full range of goggles and Speedo swim accessories.
Change rooms with free hot showers available.
